A ceiling with wooden beams, three large rectangular skylights, a ceiling fan, and an exterior view of trees through a large window.

Quick and Easy

Installation Process

Installing our beams is quick and easy - one of the many benefits the Beam Shop will offer you! Although The Beam Shop doesn’t offer installation services, here’s a look at how simple the process is:

Interior view of a ceiling with skylights and wooden support beams under construction.

In this project we are wrapping these exposed collar ties. If the beams were to be installed directly against the ceiling, we would instead place 2x blocks every 4-6 feet to secure it. No other structural support requirements.

The box beams are cut to size on site. 12 inches are typically added to the beam during manufacturing to account for any measurement discrepancies.

Finally, the beam is secured with small head trim screws that will disappear into the cedar.

And after a quick and easy installation process, all four beams were installed with just two people!
